Biography: 
Zengkai Liu received his Ph.D and BSc in Mechanical Engineering from China University of Petroleum (East China). He is currently an associate professor at Harbin Engineering. After one year’s postdoctoral research in University of Duisburg-Essen (Duisburg, Germany), he worked as a Humboldt Research Fellow with the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon (Geesthchat, Germany). His current research interests include risk assessment, fault prognosis and management and intelligent maintenance. Until now, he has authored and co-authored more than 56 peer-reviewed journal papers. He has published 3 books and obtained over 15 Chinese and international patents. He was thewinner of Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers supported by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and Sino-Germany Postdoc Scholarship supported by German Academic Exchange Service and China Scholarship Council. In 2021, he was honored as one of the high-level talents by Qingdao West Coast New Area Government. He was the first-prize winner of the Shandong Science and Technology Progress in 2021. He is a guest editor of Journal of Marine Science and Engineering (SCI, IF: 2.744) and Water (SCI, IF:3.530). He is the program committee chair, technical program committee chair of several international conference and was invited be the keynote speakers several times. He is a reviewer of more than 20 SCI-indexed journals like Reliability Engineering & System Safety, Safety Science,Ocean Engineering, and so on.
