Biography:
Dr. Viktor Revenko is a Leading Research Fellow at the Pidstryhach Institute for Applied Problems of Mechanics and Mathematics, NAS of Ukraine (PIAPMM NASU). He obtained a Master Degree in Applied Mathematics in State University of Lviv, USSR. In his candidate's work, the stress state of cylindrical orthotropic composite shell of rockets with rectangular hole was investigated, Moscow, USSR. He obtained a Doctor's degree, PIAPMM NASU, Ukraine.
The main scientific results: Applied Mathematics, Mechanics of materials, Theory of elasticity.
He was the first to prove that the general solution of the equations of the static theory of elasticity is expressed in terms of three harmonic functions. For the first time, exact representations of solutions of equations for orthotropic materials without unnecessary functions have found. The universal method for solving boundary value problems for systems of differential equations with both partial and ordinary derivatives has been developed. A new finite body method is proposed for solving boundary value problems for multiply connected bodies. The method is based on conditionally cutting the body into parts of a certain shape; dividing the general solution into the basic and perturbed solutions; using non-orthogonal functions and finding the minimum of generalized quadratic forms. This method allows solving various boundary value problems in multiply connected bodies without disturbance the physical and mechanical principles. He had solved some boundary value problems for homogeneous and multilayer elastic bodies. He has several research experiences including 100 research articles and over 100 conference proceeding.
