Dr. Asghar Vatani Oskouei Shahid Rajaee University, Iran
Biography: Dr. Asghar Vatani Oskouei is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at Shahid Rajaee University, Tehran/Iran. He obtained his PhD from the University of Karadeniz , Turkey. He has about 20 years of academic and industrial experience, and published over 150 peer-reviewed research papers, most of which in top-tier journals. He previously was teaching and researching as Assistant Prof. at IIEES (International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology) and BHRC (Building and Housing Research Center). He was also head and director of NDRI (The Natural Disaster Research Institute). He received several research awards. He also received several teaching awards. His current research involves Composite material properties, utilization of FRP materials in concrete, geopolymer concrete, structural behaviour of lightweight concrete, Earthquake Engineering etc.
